I was hoping the stadium would be a carat for Cobb to say yes to expanding MARTA up the I-75 corridor to alleviate the hellacious traffic by the stadium, alas - it has not come to fruition.

Unfortunately, this was Cobb's primary thinking regarding a MARTA connection to STP (courtesy of the Cobb GOP chair/now convicted felon due to child molestation Joe Dendy):

It is absolutely necessary the (transportation) solution is all about moving cars in and around Cobb and surrounding counties from our north and east where most Braves fans travel from, and not moving people into Cobb by rail from Atlanta.

yep. the only way marta would have been a real benefit for the majority is if they created a line along 285 to connect the red and gold lines over to STP. I'd ride the shite out of that, but an I75 branch would likely be a waste for most of the metro area.

Eh... I would do that too, but there is still a swath of people ITP who would ride up and down the 75 corridor.

I get it's "Braves Country" but it would be foolhearty to assume people working in the city during the game can't exchange their button downs and loafers for PFGs and some shite kickers by first pitch

You need both (NW Branch from Arts Center to Kennesaw and Perimeter Line from Cumberland to Doraville).

i said "for the majority" based on their study of where the fanbase is.
