They were 11 and 12. Both great players, Acuna is better defensively and a better baserunner while Soto has better plate discipline and is on the defending WS champion.

I'd take Acuna personally but it is close.

Juan Soto has hardly been in the league. Acuña for sure. Almost had a 40/40 season and will get one this season

Juan Soto has 1153 PAs as a major league player, and Acuña has 1202 PAs.

266 games for Soto to 267 for Ronald.

holy shite. Didn’t realize Acuña only made his debut in 2018. Feels like we have been watching him longer.

Meh, we'll see.

If RAJ establishes the 50-50 club, Soto won't even be a footnote.

It's pretty close imo. They are both monsters for years to come. I don't see how you can get up in arms about this, especially when they are ranked right next to each other.

Both are already shockingly good for their ages. I give Acuna the slight edge right now, and definitely prefer his first extension to what Soto will probably ask for. That said, a 20 year old who already has Soto's plate presence is absurd and points to an amazing career. I could see Acuna vs Soto becoming the debate that people tried to hype up with Trout vs Harper

Are we really melting over a single spot difference?

Both have played about the same amount in 2018 and 2019.

Acuna:

Avg: .285
OBP: .365
SLG: .518
OPS: .897
HR: 67
RBI: 165
SB: 53
BB: 121
SO: 311

Soto:

Avg: .287
OBP: .403
SLG: .548
OPS: .949
HR: 56
RBI: 180
SB: 17
BB: 187
SO: 231

They are close offensively but Soto's numbers are arguably a little better overall. I do think Acuna is better defensively. It's close which is why they are ranked right next to each other.
