What could the Hawks get for him, trade wise?

News flash!

This has been true for quite some time.

Hawks are just too scared to pull the trigger.

Maybe the new GM sees it correctly now.

Is that all you got?

Obviously, you don't agree with the OP or my response.

Could you elaborate?

Even before this last IR stint, the Hawks played better without Trae. He does score, makes the typical lob at the rim type assists. But he's a massive defensive liability and is very slight in stature (hence the frequent stretches of being injured).

He is certainly not worth the 50-60+ million for max compensation he'll command.

Trading a guy who's on a HoF trajectory is a stupid idea and doesn't require any more discussion .

You probably thought the Luka trade was a good idea.

Not sure what Luka has to do with this discussion.

HoF!! Dude doesn't even have enough fan or peer support to make the all-star game.

If I'm building a "team" to win an NBA championship, Trae is nowhere near that roster.

Look at his numbers. It's pretty clear.

You're just proving you.know nothing about basketball .

I'm out.

It's a pretty low bar to get into the basketball HOF. If you can breathe and tie your shoes, you have a chance. Guys like Chauncey Billups and Tim Hardaway are in.

And neither of those two can even carry Trae's jock.

C'mon bud, you're better than this.

I’m surprised they haven’t sold that team to an owner in Seattle and relocated yet.

They were in a downturn before he came back

LOL at the downvotes. Don't believe me, go look at their record the 7 games before he came back.

This board doesn't understand basketball

Now 2-7 and lost 6 in a row since Trae's return.
They had cooled off before he came back, true, but shouldn't a "future HOFer" kind of reverse that trend? At least a little bit?

Seems that Washington is interested and here is a chance to get younger. Get their lottery pick this year, get ready for Risascher and Porzingis to follow. If we ended up with 2 top 5 or even 2 top 3 picks we could get Dybantsa and Peterson or Wilson and Flemmings. Either way 2 of those 4. In the top 7 picks there is a talented group of pg/sg and sf. Get Tristan Vukcevic, maybe Carrington or Tre Johnson.

I'm not ready to embrace Trae not in Atlanta. Sick of us losing studs.

Get it, but it's bullshite.

Yea , I get it but this team is about to become a powerhouse and the right direction to go would be to get that pick and go young. This next draft is stacked and having two top picks will go a long ways. We could get a couple of future stars and some depth.
