Iglesias wasn't top tier or elite today.

St. Louis is already scoring against the Padres in game 2, if they win this series I hope they take the Dodgers out so we can get a shot at revenge.

Yep and I believe both had 15+ wins.

What? '98 had 10 more wins in the
regular season and was better in almost all statistical categories.

Fair, but I personally feel that that 96 team was the best of the bunch IMO.
98 wasn't that far behind.

1998 had the best regular season of all of those Braves teams and maybe the best pitching staff in baseball history. That team losing the NLCS is one of the biggest upsets in the history of the sport because it just should have never happened.
1996 had a five game stretch of dominance in the playoffs that will never be seen again. In the last three games of the NLCS and first two games of the World Series, they won them all by a combined score of 48-2.

I'll make a point of clarification on the '93 team.
Pre Fred Mcgriff 53-42

I would imagine one of the most dominant 68 game stretches in MLB
modern history.

God yes it was, freaking Lenny Dykstra had to ruin it for us. Didn't the Blue Jays win it that year, I vaguely remember Pat Borders's (catcher)cousin being my neighbor.

Yep,the Phillies beat us and the Jay's won it all.I was done with Bobby Cox after that...sick to my stomach watching a team on a roll like that lose to that Phillies team.

You have to wonder how much the pennant race took out of the 1993 team. The 1993 Giants are why the Wild Card was created.

That wasn't Bobby's fault. That team was flat worn out after chasing the Giants down.

Please,I've heard the excuse multiple times and I've also heard the "to well rested" excuse
for other Brave teams who wrapped
up their season early.
Braves didn't seem "worn out" in 91 when they won the division on the last day of the season
The Dodgers had a 9 game lead at the break I believe.

If you think Bobby was a bad manager, then I can't take you seriously when it comes to baseball anymore. He had his flaws(loyal to a fault), but the man has the 4th most wins in baseball history and more 100 win seasons then any other manager ever, I think the hate is misplaced.
