Braves thoughts

I went to the game last night and have some thoughts.
Disclaimer and admission. Last night was the first full game I’ve watched this year. So this is definitely a “take it for what It’s worth” opinion.
I don’t see the Braves making a playoff run for one reason. Strikeouts. The home run numbers for the lineup are crazy impressive. But the cost is that the strikeout to at bats ratio is dreadful.
I really enjoyed the game and the team.

The Braves have struck out less times than the Rays, Brewers, Giants, Yankees, and Dodgers.
They have walked the 10th most in MLB.

Very surprising.
Some of the ratios, Duvall for example, are pretty bad.
Soto on the other hand has good numbers in those areas.

Braves will make the playoffs this year because the East is garbage. The Braves are the only team in the NL East with a positive run differential.
Between Acuna's injury, Soroka re-injuring his Achilles, and Ozuna's legal issues, making the playoffs is an accomplishment. But I don't see us advancing beyond the NLDS.

Was about to say this.
The Dodgers ate his fricking lunch in the NLCS, and he hasn't exactly inspired any confidence this regular season. Will Smith is a total liability and his continued presence in the 9th inning is why I have anger issues.
