The Padres don't want to win, they had out 3 and overthrew 1st. Freddie had hit a double and scored, 4 to 2.

The Braves won 4 to 2, Vizcaino saved Sanchez's win.

It's getting close to time to make a decision whether to stay put this season or to go for it. What does the board think? Guys on FS1 say to go for it. I'm not as convinced. I don't like the idea of gutting the farm for rentals.

I say if ypi can get a starter with some years of control bite and then see what you can get in the pen for relatively cheap. But dont go apeshit and rape the farm

Agree with this, and I do think they'll go get a cheap bullpen rental. But I don't think they'll go for broke this year nor should they

Is it too crazy to trade Teheran for a reliable reliever? I'm semi-serious, but I realize Soroka is still new and BMac is starting to worry me a bit. With the talent we have coming up, I'm wondering how much longer we hold onto Julio. Injuries, tons of HR's, and losing velocity. Should now be the time to make the move? Will it get better as the season goes on? If we could find a team who needs an extra starter, with a loaded bullpen, then maybe that serves as an option to address the bullpen.

Has anyone posted the All Star ballot? Need to represent.

Camping World MLB all-star ballot

ETA: just cast my votes. 5 times per day, up to 35. After you hit review and submit it'll prompt a number code entry. Do it 5 times and it'll stop you.

MLB Network guys said the same thing, and I'm starting to agree with them.

Yeah the "problem" is we're in 1st place and looks like we could sustain the offensive success with all our depth, therefore the Braves are being forced in a way to make a move. I'm thinking they attempt a bullpen move but won't disturb the farm too much.

That's exactly what they should do. The right one could make them a real player in the postseason.

Bullpen help would be nice, but I'm gonna be pissed if they try to make any big moves and give up key prospects for a 1 year rental.

Winning a World Series is such a crap-shoot anyways once you hit the post-season. I can't remember the last mid-season trade that we got more production than we gave up in the long term.

I'm starting to hear Machado rumblings and that would piss me right off.

Yeah with Riley pretty much MLB ready, don't really want to give up top tier prospects for someone we don't need

I’d prefer we keep our farm. We can make a run with the current team, though the pen getting better would be nice. I’m all for keeping the farm though and it leading to a 10 plus year run again

We're overloaded with top 100 pitching prospects in the minors. We're somewhat solid with Soroka,Newcomb,Folty
and Sanchez and we'Lloyd have to make room for Gohara eventually. We still don't have a proven #1 stud and I'd
be all in with trading at least 2 maybe 3 to get Jacob
Degrom. We'd get em on the cheap for 2 1/2 years...these
guys are gonna have to get moved at some point.

Hell yeah! Braves winning, hope Newk can do a complete game like Folty did because this game is way to close for our inept bullpen.
