Top of the 8th Kurt hit a double.... and Swanson got a walk but the Braves stranded them there, having a tougher time against the boston relievers than the starter.
the announcers said that Acuna hurt his back too not just his knee.
bottom of the 8th, Minter came in to pitch for Folty. Is a 5 run lead enough?

top of the 9th... Ozzie struck out (0 for 5 on the day) but Tucker got a single. Freddie walked, Nick grounded out (0 for 4) and Kurt got an infield hit and rbi, Tucker scored to make it 7 to 1. Ender almost got a hit but ended the Braves' side of the inning.
bottom of the 9th, Vizcaino coming on to pitch on a cold,windy day. Uh oh. But he got them 3 up 3 down. Braves win!

Honestly, I'm happy to get through that road trip without a sweep. We were scuffling and playing 1 good team and 1 great team, and we found a way to squeeze out wins in both series.
Boy I hope Acuna is ok. If he gets out of that with nothing but a mild sprain he was truly sent here from another planet.

I still haven't seen the news about his test results, but here's the lineup for game one at 1, the one with Fried pitching and Ender leading off has Tucker starting in left:

Now they are saying the Braves don't even have the MRI results til Monday afternoon:

Sounds like, based on Bowman's tweet and a few of the Venezuelan confidants, that they "think" he's ok, but they don't have confirmation via the MRI yet.
So, probably a total tear and out for 3 years. Cause, #atlanta.

And the pitching reporter Byrd said Acuna was walking around in the Braves clubhouse this morning but then had to leave to get a 2nd MRI:

Btw, the mets have Jose Bautista starting in left. And the announcers also said the Mets are pitching with all bullpen relievers in game 2 tonight.

Fried off to a start with baserunners problems in the 1st. Walked and hit the first two for Contorto with no outs. Fried struck out the big slugger, but had a passed ball that moved both runners in scoring position with Bautista batting and 1 out and walked him to load the bases for Bruce who struck out too, but Fried walked another Met with the bases loaded, 1 nothing Mets.

Everyone reports Acuna's diagnosis on twitter 5 minutes ago literally 10 feet away from Chip, Chip starts a discussion about it saying we don't know what the diagnosis is.

Yeah I guess they don't get told anything til between innings? Wonder who will replace him from the minors? I know Tucker will start but who would be on the bench, Adams did before, but now he's a cub so i guess somebody else.

Aw man wtf, false alarm rain delay in the 3rd, braves still down by 1. The only Brave that got a hit off deGrom in their 1st at bat was Ozzie. Hope for a lot more hits and some home runs.

Freddie got a hit in the bottom of the 4th, one out and Markakis got a single to knock him over to 3rd. Then he walked Flowers and Tucker has the bases loaded. But Preston struck out and Camargo ... too. Braves left them loaded
