They said on Braves' twitter that it was the first time for the Braves in ATL to have 3 gold glove winners.

Braves have a "strong offer" on the table for Realmuto, per Talking Chop.

quote:

Sources indicate the Braves have a strong offer on the table for Marlins All Star Catcher J.T. Realmuto. MIA may prefer him dealt outside of NL East, but at this point team is operating as though a trade is likely to happen.

Per Bowman, Dansby had minor surgery on his left wrist. Expected to start spring training.

I wonder why they didn't do it a few weeks ago.

Oh well...as long as it's ready by spring

Nats fans on twitter are losing their minds about this, and it's glorious.

James Paxton was traded to the Yankees for their stud pitching prospect Sheffield.

At this point I think we'll sign Brantley for the vacant OF spot, sign Ramos as our catcher, and sign or trade for someone in middle relief and call it a day. I could see us acquiring an ace caliber pitcher mid season if our internal options have not developed one by then.

He got paid, 2-years $10 mil.

He had some clutch moments for us this past season.

Bowman suggesting a Realmuto deal unlikely.

yeah, he's been of this mindset for a few days it seems. This is why I think we ultimately just sign Ramos for a couple of years and hope that Contreras starts to really progress into a legit option that we can look forward to for 2021. He hit really well in Rome this season, but not so much in limited action at A+ Florida. Hopefully he gets a full year in A+ of good play and advances to AA late in the season. If he does that, then I'll feel good about his chances of fighting for a roster spot in 2021. If not, then we'll probably need to bring someone in from the outside.
