1st bad move - re- upping the oft injured and over priced DeVonta Freeman when they didn't need to

2nd & 3rd bad move - drafting the guy I call Fake Matthews with 8th overall pick and then re-upping him despite his mediocre results, if his last name weren't MATTHEWS and you judged him purely on his College Film there's no way he's a Top10 NFL Draft Choice

4th bad move - exercising the 5th yr option on Vic Beasley's Rookie deal, no way was that guy worth the money

5th bad move - drafting that weed head Jalen Collins knowing that he was weed head as a BROKE CFB Player, what did they think was gonna happen when he got his signing bonus?

2nd round picks need to be 5-8 yr starters from Day1, not weed heads

6th bad move - Re-upping lazy azz Des Trufant, dude played lackluster on his first deal then turned up the intensity to SCAM TDimitroff into giving him a new deal then went right back to playing non physical FB where you literally see him making "business decisions" every other play

7th bad move - using a 1st round slot on an OL with a BAD HEART, dude this is the NFL

THE MOST IMPORTANT ABILITY IS AVAILABILITY, wtf was TDimitroff thinking, rebuild the OLine with a guy that might have his Valentine go bad?

8th bad move - Not signing Jared Cook as a FA tight end, our TEs are good not great, but Cook has shown speed and explosiveness down the seam and can stretch defenses better than Hooper, over the last 4 yrs we have missed getting him as a FA twice, he'd allow us to run 2 TE sets and still be explosive while forcing Defenses to respect the run

Feel free to add in any that I might have missed

Dimitroff will be gone with Quinn I think. I'm sure Arthur Blank has seen enough.

I feel fairly certain that posters on this board could have made better first round draft choices than that moron Dimitroff.

Needs an extension IMO. 1 win is better than the 0 I predicted through 6 games.

The primary thing that sets NFL teams apart is success rate on 1st and 2nd round picks translating to the NFL. The Falcons have unfortunately developed a history of bungling these pics. I'm not going to hate on Free Agent signings and the lot but last year all of our draft capital was spent on Chris Lindstrom who was projected to be a late first rounder and our Tackle who we traded up for who was projected in the 2nd round. That's the Falcons reaching twice to fill need over taking BPA and moving parts around to fit. We have also spent a ton of draft capital on corners - Jalen Collins, Desmond Trufant, etc and yet our starting corners/safety's aren't the guys we spent all the capital in - ignoring Keanu Neal who was honestly a great find when healthy. I would be fine with cleaning house and hiring some guys on that San Fran staff. The defense they have built is a thing of beauty.

Agreed. Awful move.

He hasn't been a superstar but for the most part he's been solid. However, if the Falcons can trade him and then draft Andrew Thomas next year, I'm on board.

Hooper is really good. Signing Cook would have been a waste of a roster spot.

Picking up Beasley's option this year was the worst. That was indefensible and Quinn/Dimitroff should be fired for that alone.

The Julio contract was really bad too. They gave a 30 year old WR an almost fully guaranteed contract. That is bad.

McGary looks like he might end up being a solid player, but they traded a TON of draft capital to get him. Going OL with the first two picks after signing Carpenter, Brown, and Sambrailo this offseason was puzzling.

I do like Lindstrom and think he will be very good.
