Thanks to Dimitroff's complete inability to negotiate, I don't think we'll see the Falcons doing much here other than adding a few cheap depth pieces.

Per NFL League source the Falcons have restructured Matt Ryan's contract..
Was due $23 million... took 21-million and made it guaranteed bonus that spreads out over the next 3-years-
Cap # is now 26.9 million - It was $40.9 million

It was never going to be a splashy free agency this season. They’ll get guys who fit the Smith mood and guys with ties to the coaching staff but the real impact will be through the draft. But yes there are guys to get still.

Ouch. That makes his cap hit even worse in 2022 and 2023. Definitely not taking a QB at 4 now, unfortunately. New guys have decided to hitch their wagons to Ryan for the next few years.

Dante Fowler to take a pay cut. Last I heard no details were available yet but would help with cap space.

I would love to get paid as much as Fowler did last year to be as shitty at my job as he was at his. I'm very concerned that we saw the real Fowler last year. He benefitted from Aaron Donald getting tons of attention in LA.

A lot of Fowlers salary is now incentive based, so he must believe in himself. Jarrett isnt Donals but he is one of the top DT's in the league. I think Fowler will surprise some people this year

Jarrett is a very good player and arguably one of the best draft picks in team history (incredible ROI for a 5th round pick). The gap between Donald and the next best DT in the league is wider than any other position right now.

Excited about both, but Davis at that price! He can easily be a 1,000 yard back.
