I expect John Chavis to become Arkansas’ DC sometime after Texas A&M’s appearance in Bellk Bowl today. Been in works for awhile and it’s my understanding his contract details have been worked out. He will be The highest paid coordinator in Arkansas school history.

I guess sometime ago could mean days, weeks, months....

Thought I read he has to be let go by Aggy first so they have to pay buyout

Two possibilities:

1. It's really NOT going to be him, some snag was hit. Or...
2. His buyout goes down after Jan. 1? (not sure), but it could be some financial reasons.

Am told #TAMU DC John Chavis is expected to become the next #Arkansas defensive coordinator but some details need to be sorted out.

Because no contracts were going to be announced or finalized before start of new year.
