Bert mentioned that in his press conference this week. He also said we didn't get a dry ball before the field goal attempt, but that the officials apparently realized they fricked up and made sure we had a dry ball for the rest of the game.

Pretty fricking frustrating.

This is some fricking bullshite.

All of this ineptitude by the officials just makes me think I should go all in. Become an SEC official. I'll start with Pop Warner and work my way up the ranks. In 20 years, people will be chanting my name all around the SEC. "Thanks for saving the integrity of the game, ocelot! We love you! You're the only official that applies the rules equitably."

Ahhh to dream.

Was on the river for four days so didn't get to watch the game till yesterday. I really don't have any complaints. The team looked like they laid it all on the line and that counts for a lot in my book. Still a few players short of a contender in the west but the progress is obvious.

Earlier in the year I would have been happy taking one on this three game stretch. One more to go.

I have a feeling Georgia may be walking into a pissed off buzz saw.

It's damn sad and it's terrible that we boast being the best conference in the nation, yet our officials are 2nd rate.

2nd rate might be a little generous, Hawgeye.

I understand that Bama had been shutting us down, but did anyone feel like we fully committed to establishing the run game? Does anyone else feel like Chaney has complete drives where he's pre-determined, "I'm not going to run the ball a single time this possession, no matter how many people they drop back in coverage!"

I felt the same way. I think they knew the Alabama defense was going to be tough as they are historically and decided early on they were going to throw the ball more. And they did so effectively which I think may very well be a key to our success in the remaining games.

I understand that Allen missed some throws and that our O-line didn't effectively pass block at times but to me while the running game is our strength it would be wrong to say we're one dimensional and cannot beat some folks by utilizing the play action pass along with the run. We're certainly ions better than last year in the passing game and the A & M and Alabama games convinced me of that for we actually needed to throw some in those games to have a shot at winning. Outside of the Auburn game it was really not until we got back into SEC play that we knew we weren't just going to run over everyone so we really didn't pass that much until then.

Now what is bad for us is to be in the situation where we have to throw the ball and cannot work in the run as far as our offensive scheme goes. When we get in those situations the result has been a lack of execution in the passing game. We're just not good in the two minute offense type situation.
