Who isn’t a power in this league?
LSU played for the title in 2017. Arkansas played for it in 2018. Ole Miss won it this year. State won it last year. Florida won it in 2017. Vanderbilt won it in 2014 and 2019. South Carolina won it in 2010 and 2011.
Arkansas, Florida, Vanderbilt, State, Ole Miss, Tennessee, Auburn, Texas A&M, & LSU are normal CWS teams the last 10 years.
So again, just quit. If you’re scared, find a Big East team to be a fan of. SEC athletics isn’t for the faint of heart. Especially football and baseball.

Those are powers yes but they are not on the same history level as LSU. Certainly not have the same expectations. It maybe be nothing at all but it is nothing to brush away and say that it is no big deal. If it does come to pass then it is about time they were able to meet those ridiculous expectations.

LSU’s “history” comes from the hot bat era, which is a far cry from the game today. It means Dick.
They’ll never meet their fans expectations…

While agree with your sentiment and we'll have to see how the draft and recruiting classes pan out, it sounds like LSU might be signing one of if not the highest rated classes in history.
11 top 100 players along with two of the top transfers.
This isn't necessarily a next year problem, but if the recruiting stays that hot for the foreseeable future, they're going to be a top echelon program again.
Its something to keep an eye on for sure.

I think we just need to be shitty for 3/4 of the year and then you can win one.
This is the truth. I started getting my hopes up when we went to shite at the end of the season and went 0-2 in the tourney. It really seems to work. Gotta be shitty in the middle of the season. The Muss special if you will.

Another thing to remember is lsu baseball is alot more like Miami football than alabama. They were THE dominant force in college baseball during the 90s but have been nothing more than a solid ball club outside of about a 15 year period.

The team just needs some words of encouragement from a certain radio personality.

Miami doesn't have the fan support that makes programs thrive as even alumni Mark Richt tried to raise money for better facilities but to no avail. He tried to turn things around but quit. The only coach that turned them around was Arkansas own Butch Davis.
Miami is a flash in a pan program that caught lightning at the right time but disappeared into the fog.

I wasn’t really talking About Miami. I’m saying Miami football in the 80s/mid 90s was the equivalent to lsu from 90s/ mid00s. Not alabama football. That would be more like Texas

Miami has only had two 10 win seasons since 2002. LSU despite being so called down had made three CWS appearances, four super regional appearances and one of them being a CWS final.
LSU is very solid while Miami fell off completely.

Yeah no shite did you not read what I said? Look at the years I was talking about. The 80s was when Miami football was dominant then they were good in the 90s culiminating with possibly their best team ever in 01. The. They fell off. Lsu was dominant in the 90s (I believe they won 4 or 5 of their 6 titles) then good in the mid 2000s culminating in a championship in 07. And have just been “good” ever since. Right now lsu would be in their 90s Miami days. Now that may not be an exact comparison but it’s pretty damn close. Regardless the point I was making was it’s not like lsu was some dominant force from the 60s,70s,80s all the way to the current day. Now yes they care more about baseball than Miami brass decided they cared about football so they may not see the drop off Miami did but it doesn’t change the fact lsu wasn’t some historic perennial contender

It is very difficult to compare two completely different sports and the results that come with it. It would be better to use a baseball program that is similar and so that way it would be easier to understand and compare.
