Smith never bravely addressed anything until he didn't have a choice.

The wreck back in the day. The latest trip to Betty Ford.

Nothing courageous about any of it.

And as for the show, I've listened a bit over the years, and for a long time I thought no one could be as simple-minded as Rainwater, but that morning trio proved me wrong time and time again.

What I never could figure out is how they all were either Arkansas natives or lived in the state for decades but didn't know how to pronounce the names of towns/cities in the state.

I know he was on Magic 105 in 1981 or so...and probably well before then. That's a long DJ career.

Some of the shows with Crawford as "Perfect Elvis" were so stupid that they were funny.

If you can get 104.3 in central arkansas, their morning show is much more palatable.

As if he's the only celebrity (term used loosely) to attempt to dodge trouble until they have to confront it.

Still, most celebrities open up about issues when forced to, then its talked about for a while and swept under the rug like it never happened, never to be discussed openly again.

Tommy at least continued to discuss openly that he had a problem and tried to help others going through the same thing. Even for the past 10 years while he was clean (presumably) he still mentioned his alcoholism regularly. Not a lot of people would do that.

If ya'll have never heard the MAke A Wish deal here is the gist of it.

John Daly was big into make a wish and Tommy and him started a Titties and Beer golf tournament to raise money. Crawford said MAW turned their head because Daily was bringing in so much cash for them.

Well they are at Pine Valley and have strippers on every hole. Daily is on 16 and you could pay for him to drive for you. He'd put it on the green every time.

Apparently things were getting out of hand and the strippers got naked. Dailys then pregnant wife gets word and has somebody take her to the hole. Before the cart could stop she jumped out, rolled around, jumped up and beat the crap out of one of the strippers.

Daily gets mad, breaks all his clubs, leaves the course and side swipes a bunch of cars on his way out of the parking lot.

It is the epitome of Magic 105 back in the day. Drunken debauchery.

Go back and read the police report from that wreck incident. Not within driving distance of courageous, honorable or decent.

No one is arguing that it was. Its what he has done afterwards to try to rectify his mistakes.

We'll just have to disagree on our opinions of him which is fine.

Yeah not sure how that’s going to go. I do enjoy Justin on the show. He seems pretty level headed and has some funny one liners at times. I’ve heard he’s kind of a jerk in person though. Not that I’ve met him
