I agree he’s probably doing his due diligence, which is a good thing. I just think at this point no news is good news as it likely means we are are getting a coach who’s coaching this weekend. And there are a few in that pool that would be great gets.

HY will not be pushed or bullied into making a rash decision, which is why he and Jimmy Sexton really do not get along. Kiffin has interviewed and Sexton tried to play his normal games with HY, with HY being told that if we want Kiffin we need to pull the trigger as FSU has been showing interest, but HY didn't play Jimmy's game and told him bluntly that if he wants to be at FSU, then he need to do what he needs to do. HY refuses to be a pawn for Jimmy Sexton and I love that.
Good.
I'm tired of our program having to grab our ankles for Sexton. He owned us when Nutt was here, and bent us over on both the Gus saga and Morris contract.
Our GOBN gets absolutely worked by Sexton whenever they're involved — as they were with all of the above — because he plays chess and they play checkers and play right into his hands. I'm glad to hear HY isn't fooling around with that shite.

Ok who set the fire smokescreen in Bentonville today? Is the new coach flying into Drake field while nobody is paying attention?

You could see the smoke from that fire in South Fayetteville.
On the other thing though, it does seem like there are some folks pushing back hard against Kiffin. The dudes on the afternoon radio show yesterday were pretty adamant that it isn't Kiffin. Someone has those guys ear.

NEW: If this is Lane Kiffin's last season at FAU, wish him well. He gave the Owls exactly what they needed.
(Before you ask: Covering sports in Florida since 1981 for the Palm Beach Post.)

Lastly, with so much smoke around Kiffin, who everyone may not like but the vocal majority are for, I wonder how this thing goes if it's a less popular name than Leach, Kiffin or Norvell... I just remember when Auburn hired Gene Chizik and people were at the airport booing him. I remember when Tennessee tried to hire Greg Schiano and Clay Travis shut it down and they ultimately got rid of the AD.
Any one else think this quote from biddy is an attempt to soften the blow?

Biddy doesn’t know anything more than us. He keeps posting rumors from the internet
