I think it's fairly obvious it's not going to be Smith, he's leaking this from his side to get his name out there, he knows he shouldn't have waited on Schiano now.
Bielema referred to when he was hired, everyone was shocked.

I know, I can't wrap my head around this. Most programs fill their vacancies pretty quick.

That's the "Jeff Long approach"? Long has hired some good coaches. Who cares how long it takes if you get the right guy? This isn't exactly a busy time for the football team either.

It's odd that it's taking this long but it's after the recruiting season and well before spring practice so it's not exactly crucial. Bielema gave us a 7 day timetable. Reserve all melts until after that expires.
