I'm not saying it's a crappy class. I'm saying this kind of class isn't good enough for us to be where we need to be based on the fact that teams recruiting in the 30's don't typically compete in the long term against superior (vastly) recruiting teams.

What did you expect?

I didn't EXPECT anything today. I knew it wasn't going to be much higher than when we entered the day.

I don't EXPECT anything. I know we have a long road to hoe. But if we want to win in this conference, 30th isn't good enough. 11th isn't good enough.

we will suck more than not this season in W/L Results more than likely.

However, we will play better and be more competitive in every game played. Show some toughness where last season we wilted.

I expect to be bowl eligible and am accepting of that.

Another season just like this and I will see things the same more than likely. But I see improvement everywhere except LB and may have it there as well. Cant be much worse.

It is what it is... Mizzou had a great season with less, and they are behind us in recruiting. In year 3 I expect us to be competing in every game and winning the majority. and up from there.

Imagine the O Line this next year with our running game, imagine Rafe/Peavy in the future perhaps. Imagine a WR core than can simply stretch the field, Imaging an all American Kicker and Returning program better than the last 2 years... this is what is see

frick. we do have a timeship.

Who the frick ever said this? Stop pulling some contrarian point out of your arse to back some non-existent argument.

I say: "we filled a need"
You hear: "no one else in the SEC filled any needs whatsoever"

Again, I've seen no one anywhere argue (save for some idiots on Hogville) that we can finish every year in the 30s and be a competitive football team in the SEC year in and year out. It's about plugging holes, developing players, hitting in certain spots, and building depth. While we're generalizing, take a look at our offense if you're so concerned with a lack of recruiting talent.

QB - three 4 stars (Peavey, both Allens)
RB - one 5 star (Collins), one 4 star (Williams)
WR - two 4 stars (Robinson, Hatcher)
TE - one 4 star (Henry)
OL - one 5 star (Cook), six 4 stars (Kirkland, Koehler, Ragnow, Pruitt, Wallace, Tretola) and a 3 star (Skipper) who plays like a 4 star)

That's a lot of 4 star talent on one side of the football, especially for a team that essentially had a wasted class in 2011 followed up by two losing seasons.

For some of you folks that hate HiV so much, you all sure spend a lot of time over there and post about it here.

I take guilty pleasure in reveling of the idiocy in Hogville. Seriously, go read threads and posts on practically any topic and the dim bulbs come out of the woodwork.

It's fun, but it also makes you sad when you think that these people live among us.

I had a bunch of them do that when I was doing my best porkatarian impersonation.

Gave them all different info, and boy what a clusterfrick that turned out to be.

I am too, I'm just not sure it's going to work. I will still most likely go full Alude if he's hired.

May God have mercy on my soul.

I just don't get it. I want Barry Odom a lot more in every way. Odom is from around here and has been in the general area a long time so he has recruiting connections. And more importantly he took #117 in total defense and turned them into #50 in one year and #39 the next whereas Smith took #12 in total defense and made them #10 in one year. Forgive me for not being incredibly impressed.

I don't think Smith would be a bad hire but I'd take Odom or Shannon over him any day.

Odom makes too much sense. No way the U/ of Arkansas can sign off on it.

If it's not Odom, I'm hoping someone can get some sort of inside scoop on why he got passed over for Smith.
