I understand that, but doing that it looks like you never see the positive side. Just my .02

Why would I want to post anything otherwise? I support the Hogs, I don't try to downplay every move the athletic department makes.

When will we? Ole Miss is the only one we have probably competed with in terms of recruiting rankings over the years UUnfortunately, there seems to be a unavoidable correlation between low ranked classes and final standings in the SEC-W.

I would be quite happy if we consistently landed top 15-20 classes. I think that'd give us a chance, at least.

Player development is huge, obviously. Bielemas record there speaks for itself. But the other SEC coaches aren't too shabby either. Not that they have to be with their recruiting success.

Why was 4-8 i n 2012 an opportunity to pitch early PT but 3-9 was just too much of a challenge?

So you admit you're not objective?

"Supporting the program" in that fashion landed us a decade of HDN.

you're right man. the fans caused the mediocrity of HDN

and I understand your point (at least I'm assuming) that fan mentality accepted that we were going to suck

However I don't really think that's the case now. We've come a long way from when HDN coached to now

Not entirely, no. But you don't think fans have an impact on the AD?

we will suck more than not this season in W/L Results more than likely.

However, we will play better and be more competitive in every game played. Show some toughness where last season we wilted.

I expect to be bowl eligible and am accepting of that.

Another season just like this and I will see things the same more than likely. But I see improvement everywhere except LB and may have it there as well. Cant be much worse.

It is what it is... Mizzou had a great season with less, and they are behind us in recruiting. In year 3 I expect us to be competing in every game and winning the majority. and up from there.

Imagine the O Line this next year with our running game, imagine Rafe/Peavy in the future perhaps. Imagine a WR core than can simply stretch the field, Imaging an all American Kicker and Returning program better than the last 2 years... this is what is see

I think that might be part of the disconnect.

I'm not saying we're absolutely going to suck because of this class. Recruiting is an inexact science if there ever was one.

I just don't particularly feel the need to talk about how good of a class this was. If we were in a weaker conference, maybe. But we're not.

There are some great looking prospects in the class. And there are some sleepers. And there are even some guys that might contribute right away.

...just like every SEC program.

It's a statistics game. 4 and 5 star guys have the highest probability of being difference makers. We desperately need more difference makers.

I'm not

It was an average class and we missed out on some big talent

However I think we did really well at OL, WR,QB, and CB... which all needed some desperate help

I agree though. Our 2015 class is shaping up great... we already have the same amount of 4 stars with 5 commits as we did in the entire 2014 class

I can criticize almost any coach and break down almost anything with the best but why don't you give this a try...

Think how beautiful it will be when we beat any of these other teams that have so much better recruiting classes. If it doesn't happen, I'll be one of the first to chime in ...but only for a brief time before I have to get back in the mindset of "we're gonna screw up someone's day" mode.

and we have several more even in state that will be rated 4 stars soon, do we have a chance to put that fence around the state?

What are you talking about? I've seen virtually no one fart rainbows about how this was some blue chip-laden class that has our SEC foes crapping their pants. What I have seen are people like myself discuss how this class provided talented depth/help at positions where there was a critical need.

What's funny is that you're arguing for objectivity while showing little and blatantly conflating said objectivity with sunshine pumping.

There will always be that guy who is going out of state regardless, but Bert should have an instate class like Petrino's first or several Nutt had in terms of easy talent. The state hasn't given him much the past two years.

As if the rest of the SEC didn't do the same f'ing thing?

I'm not saying it's a crappy class. I'm saying this kind of class isn't good enough for us to be where we need to be based on the fact that teams recruiting in the 30's don't typically compete in the long term against superior (vastly) recruiting teams.

THE HORROR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
