The SEC West

In this decade, 6 of the 10 national titles were won by 3 teams from the SEC West. Those 3 schools held 10 of the 20 spots in the title game this decade with all 3 having multiple appearances. I’m not on the side of let’s go to the Big 12 necessarily but damn it’s hard to not believe that we’d really probably be much more successful in any other division in any other conference in CFB besides this one. That stat is just insane.

The best teams in the country are in the SEC. We just need to have everything in place that it takes to win the conference. Ever since we have been in the SEC, one way or another, we have come up short.
Yes, we did that. And yes, we're in a tough conference. But if the Hogs are going to be successful at the level of an SEC national championship team, it's up to the school, the coaches, the team, and everything associated with it to make that happen. It's up to us. It's not the conference.

We are a basketball and baseball school. Win 6-8 games a year in football and we are fine. Accept it, that’s just how it is. The money is worth it and frick the big 12.

If you look back at history before Smile, we've always averaged between 6-8
Enjoy baseball and basketball and frick the Big 12

Exactly. We are never gonna run the sec year in and year out in football and that’s okay as long as we have a shot for a title once every 4 or 5 years with average teams in between. Face it the reason we won so much in the old days was because of the southwest conference. Outside of us, shorthorns and occasionally Aggie it was like playing in a mid major conference. I would rather play in the sec where the year we finally do get over the hump and win conference we have a very high chance of also winning a natty. I believe it will happen eventually in my lifetime. We just need the right coach. The facility and fan base are there. 15 years ago us and Clemson were about at the same place hell I probably would e said we were the better program. We just have to find that guy who can catch lightning at Arkansas

We average a shot at the SEC title once every 10 years, 15 if you don't count the year when Bama was on probation.

Then by those numbers were about due!

We probably would be better in the big xii just due to it being a better fit for our general recruiting plan. We are probably the only school in the conference who tries to recruit heavily in places we don't normally play games in. Even in the old very competitive big xii I think we stand up better.
Nebraska and West Virginia are having some of the same fish out of water problems we have had.I don't think we should move though because
1. Less money
2. Less stability
3. Not enough quality programs to move with you to help the first two problems

Barely. The difference would be a couple million dollars.

2. Less stability
Not even sure what this means or how it's relevant. The SEC being "stable" hasn't helped us from becoming the worst team in the league and a national laughing stock.

Also irrelevant, we wouldn't need anyone to move with us. If you wanted to keep even numbers for the hell of it we would only need one other team to move. I think Mizzou would be more than happy to move back. They're sitting by themselves in the cafeteria in this conference, and their fans don't care about any of the teams they play. All of their stadiums are empty even when they have a "big" game.

Maybe talk of it has cooled some in recent years but wasn't Texas always just one bad day away from saying forget this and bolting to the pac 12 with OU and whatever select few teams they wanted to drag with them?

You have been claiming this for some time, yet have never provided a bit of creditable evidence. And since you have made incredible BS claims over the years, I'm going to consider this another one until such time you provide real numbers.

Picture of stability? Big 12 members have plenty of reasons to be happy as revenue payouts increase from last season
Average payout per school was about $39 million, more than the Pac 12 or ACC. Average SEC payout last year was about $42 million. Big 10 pays more than the SEC. Money would not be an issue if we moved.

Reading the situation: don't move ALL your athletic programs to the B12 based off the lack of success of a college football program when in 5-10 years who knows if college football exists in it's current state.
Signs show it's declining rapidly between attendance numbers and depending on how the media contracts go with streaming bidders will the coaching salary bubble will burst without TV contracts to back those decisions.

Switch out Oxford, Mississippi, Nashville, and Athens, Georgia for fricking Ames, Iowa, Lawrence, Kansas, and Lubbock.
Goddamn, people
Goddamn, people

I'd put Oxford up against Lawrence, and nobody travels to those other places anyway.
Austin and Fort Worth are also cities, if that's what you're getting at.

A major problem with that Stone is they say "average". Distribution in that conference is very uneven. Always has been. SEC is evenly distributed. Also SEC about to get a much bigger Payday.
Lastly, as others have mentioned many times before, that "Texas kneepad league" only exists until Texas thinks they have a choice. It only exists now because Texas was forced back into it because they would not give up the Shithorn Network. Once it's gone, so is that "conference". But I'm sure you will dismiss all that logic.
You might be fine with sucking Texas dick, but I much rather take lumps in the SEC. What's more, when you have a good to great year, you know you are legitimately good to great team.

Why? We could be a perennial top 25 team in the Big 12. That's better than being everyone's doormat in the SEC.

It's been more fun to be a Baylor fan than it has been to be an Arkansas fan the past decade.
I wouldn't mind going Big 12. But I like watching my team win and compete, even if just at the conference level.

Suck all the Texas dick you want. I rather deal with truths, i.e. actually a good team. What's more, it hasn't always been this way, and you know it. It's your boys Jeff, Chad, and Bert that put us here in the first place.
