I grew up in South Arkansas....its Timber country and not even close to the Delta.
Btw, South Arkansas has some damn good football programs. The Delta, not so much.

Yeah, there's a ton of them. All of which have no business playing D1 college football.

What amazes me is that a kid that chooses to leave this state to play elsewhere(Tenpenny, KJ Hill, Monk, etc.), they get lambasted by this fan base for not being "loyal". However, when a kid chooses to stay and represent us, he's at risk of being mocked, poor-mouthed, and ridiculed(OR having his vehicle torched) if he doesn't make an All-American list. I would tend to think that wasn't very "loyal", but then I don't want to insinuate that anyone is a hypocrite.

What Brandon Allen had to endure in all his time before last season wasn't right. Especially for a homegrown kid but I think we all love Ellis or at least like. We just admit he isn't all world at what he does.
