Also underwhelming considering our dwindling historic win record as a Top 25 all time program(if we’re even still on that list).

Well get this and weep. Far from mediocrity.

Arkansas is 103-143 in the SEC all time.

That's better than I thought it would be, considering we've been dogshit more often than not for the last 20 years.

That is still terrible. Auburn is 140-100.

We may never compete in football in the SEC. I resigned myself to that fact when Chaggy came in with all his bluster and bullshite, and then proceeded to hire the bassett hound of DC's, John Chavis, all the while telling us he was going to go out and get a high energy guy.

A few of us called bullshite right then and got dragged for it. I knew then that we aren't really serious about football.

Auburn hasn't had a back to back 10 win seasons since 88 and 89.

Also I counted from 1992-2019 and Arkansas has 46 SEC games that were decided by 7 points or less. That comes out to an average of 1.5 a year.

I bet Auburn didn't goose egg for 3 years in the SEC like we did during Bert and Chaggy, either.

Our all time sec record is anchored by the John L, chaggy and bert years.

Sam had a shot of going 6-2. He needs to win out at 4-4 but if he loses out at 2-6 then it is just another undeperforming year.

This his first year that he has higher expectations and if he doesn't win out then it is on him for not taking advantage of opportunities when it is given.

So right now he is bouncing back and forth between Nutt and Bert on a ping pong table.

I agree with everything you are saying.

I’m just choosing to die on the hill of reminding everyone when they throw Bert into the “dogshit” category, they have to admit so far Sam is not that much different than Bert…

Bert had a big advantage in coaching experience but his terrible work ethic got him fired.

Sam has zero head coaching experience including at the coordinator level. He tries to make it up with a strong work ethic but his inexperience is keeping him in check.

They are similar but different such as Bert who had a big mouth and would brag a lot. Sam does the opposite by staying humble because he is learning on the job.

Now do how many close losses in the SWC. See if it’s about the same… if so it’s probably a forever trend.

Wow. Definitely indicative of bad coaching losing that many close games.
