So is UALR circling the drain, or are its problems inflated by the media?

Kind of curious if anyone is in the know.

Hiring and purchasing freeze

I know when I was there, Joel Anderson was doing his best it seemed to tank the university.

enrollment has been way down for the past 3 semesters, but it looks like it's slowly picking up. they built and renovated much of the campus when enrollment was peaking. One of the main problems is that they built a fricking high school on the campus to try and make more money. So instead of thousands from college students they're raking in tens to hundreds from high school students. the high school students share the library and food courts, although I haven't seen much of them this semester. after the high school went up enrollment tanked, so thank whoever the genius is who thought this was a great idea.

I think enrollment will be back up in 1-2 years so it should be okay.

That would be Joel Anderson. He's also the jagoff that came up with all freshmen regardless of proximity to the campus have to live in the dorms. They have done away with that though I heard.

yea it's been gone since at least 2015. Anderson retired in 2016.
