Sam is a great guy but does he have that killer instinct?

He reminds me of Bobby Bowden without all of the historical NFL talent.

Are you saying this like it's a bad thing? Bobby Bowden is one of the best coaches of all time

Does he have killer instinct?

No. That was evident from the first press conference.

The hope is that he would surround himself with coaches who do want to kill the opposition and take their women.

All American Defensive End

Career offensive line coach, regarded as one of the best offensive line coaches and recruiters in the nation.

Did a quick of a turnaround anyone could expect in his first HC job.

But yeah, let’s have another circle jerk with your fellow drama queens about Sam’s shortcomings that only exist in your jello brains.

Yes. Bobby lost a lot of big games due to mismanagement. Very similar IMO

No, but I hunt alligators for a living. I just knock'em in the head with a stump.

Well we are about to have 1st round picks in back to back years so he seems to be working on getting some of it here.

I would take slightly worse than Bobby B results for the next 30 years and die happy. If you wouldn't then you don't have a realistic view of what our football program is.

You're missing the point. We don't have the historical talent Bobby did. How would Bobby have done with Arkansas' talent in the 90s? On par with Nutt IMO.

Bobby was an average coach. Maybe great recruiter. In an area loaded with talent and little competition.

Bobby was also a CEO who made a lot of mistakes in crunch time.

Since the locker room mutiny never happened I guess this is the new talking point for the offseason? We ran a trick play to ice the game and it almost turned into a disaster. That’s what “killer instinct” gets you sometimes.

Bowden was right place at the right time.
FSU during those years would have made any coach’s career… predates the era where Florida talent started looking outside of Florida to play ball.

Would he have flourished in today’s environment? Highly doubtful.

But he’s probably a fair comparison to Pittman in a few ways.
