@THVMelissa

BREAKING: From LRPD, NO shots fired at Salt Bowl. There was a fight and kids running. The barricades knocked over and made a big noise. #SaltBowl #SaltBowl2018

I don’t think they really know. A couple of people left on stretchers probably related to the mass exodus. The announcer is trying to get everyone back into the stands and is claiming the plan is to resume the game.

Edit: both schools have agreed to cancel the game @ 9:34 PM.

Yea. Seeing lots of tweets from people who heard gun shots but media is saying officers say no shots fired.

A barricade falling isn’t going to cause an exodus like the video circulating on social media.

Shooting, outside of WMS?

That’s surprising. Such a nice area.

Was really a crazy sight to see people scattering everywhere—I think the crowd was around 38K. And more people were injured and/or passing out once everyone gathered outside the stadium.

It was one small section that started running and yelling gun and everyone panicked. Half the people didn’t know what they were running from.

You think that area is dangerous? It's mostly students and hippies.

It was a surreal scene and a surreal experience. Complete panic. Folks running across the field out of the southeast tunnel. Some all the way to the zoo or UAMS. No time to panic on my end, had to try to keep my kiddos calm. It’s a real shame. Its a great event that raises thousands in food and clothing for charities. The rivalry is great and the two towns really do come together during the lead up to the game. Too bad some knuckleheads ruined it for everyone. Praying for the few that were injured in the stampede.

It only takes a few people freaking out to make everyone else freak out

If you get enough people together anywhere in the world, you're going to have a few idiots. If you haven't seen a fight at a football game before then you probably haven't attended very many. Just a bizarre situation in this case where it leads to the result of a mass panic.

It's not Little Rock's fault a couple of goobers ruined a game. I agree however that all games should be moved to Fayetteville.

Saline county rednecks don’t know the difference between someone popping a few caps in someone and a barricade falling.

Move all Salt bowl games out of LR if they can’t react any better.

This is almost as bad as when all of the NWA folks come down here and end getting World Starred on the golf course. We’ve about ran that trash out of town, just one more game.
