This is where KB really made a massive improvement over Morris/Craddock

2020: 15th overall nationally with a 91% conversion rate and a 69.7% TD rate.

2019: 114th overall with a 75% conversion rate and a 53% TD rate.

2018: 70th overall with an 83.8% conversion rate but an FBS worst 43.2% TD conversion rate.

Morris and Craddock were generationally bad here. It’s impressive what Briles was able to clean up in year 1. Hopefully we can keep him in the fold for a few more seasons before he bolts for a bigger job.

I don't remember reaching the red zone much under Morris. The only TDs I remember came on Boyd breaking a long run or that one time CJ Ogrady made a great play before he got kicked off the team.

Surprisingly though he actually got there more than Briles. Clearly Briles’ offense was more explosive and we scored numerous times on big plays from outside the red zone which leads to the discrepancy.

2020: 30 conversions on 33 visits.

2019: 24 conversions on 32 visits.

2018: 31 conversions on 37 visits.

Morris and "Crash" Craddock were a boil on the backside of Arkansas football. Decades from now withered grandparents will terrify their grandkids with stories of how shitty Morris was.

The Briles offense also played a 10-game, SEC-only schedule.

Definitely makes you realize how much time and talent was wasted on Morris. And folks actually blasted us for firing him after two years. The numbers speak for themself though and the change was warranted.

That’s the weird part I don’t remember really any local or national media bashing us for firing him after two years. Expected it but most seemed to realize he was in way over his head.

He should have been fired after the N. Texas game. Getting your arse handed to you at home by a middle of the road G5 team is grounds for firing. Seriously. We drop bert after Toledo and Morris after that (or hell any of the other embarrassments you want to point to) and we save ourselves two god awful pointless seasons in 17 and 19.

One must also take into account the number of games played and the quality of the opponent.

If Craddock beat Briles in any category that adequately adjusts for strength and length of schedule, I'll chop my dick off.
