No dumbass, because he doesn’t. Most evaluations happen at camps. Then actual scouts come in and evaluate the standouts throughout the year.
That’s from a guy who broke down the whole process on a podcast.
But just by pure osmosis, he would have to had gained some knowledge.

I tried to explain things in a nice way on page 5 here, didn't call anyone on here names, etc., and I still knew I'd be rewarded with a shite ton of crybaby shite from 1 or 2 of you here.

I guess FayettNam is the go-to guy to find out if our defensive coordinator is doing his job as a recruiter.

It helps those programs have humongous amount of fans across the nation with a large number of alumni which are money making machines for marketing firms, TV and internet recruiting sites.
It is about making money by catering to large states that have many eyeballs. Ohio, Michigan, Florida, Texas, Georgia, Pennsylvania and California are some examples. USC hasn't done shite and they get propped up every year because they make people money. Texas gets propped up and loses to Kansas and Arkansas. The aggies get propped up but go 8-4 every year. Arkansas goes 9-4, beat both Texas teams, they get most players back but started out barely ranked in the top 25. The shitty aggies start in the top 10, does that make any sense? No but those two as I said before have much larger fan bases and alumni that make them more money.
Because those programs have much better prestige than Arkansas. It just makes it easy to put the recruiting classes a lot higher than Arkansas because that is what those fans expect.
Arkansas probably will never have top classes because the hard truth is that Arkansas is very irrelevant in college football and no cares for it. Sam can recruit NFL players on both sides of the ball, beat Bama three years in a row and win the SEC but barely get any bump in the rankings after the season is over.
The excuse would be that the SEC was weak if an irrelevant program like Arkansas wins it and they simply overachieved and it was a fluke. Maybe it wasn't? Arkansas really did recruit well but didn't get the respect that they deserved in the recruiting rankings? That is very possible.

I believe the sunshine pumping aspect of their forums is for that. Saying Hudson Card is the second coming of Drew Brees, but I think we can all agree Alabama’s Saban is the most dead on with talent evaluation and projection. Half of Texas and USC were offered by Alabama. Just becAuse you get good classes doesn’t mean they will hit full potential Without proper coaching.
Barry is a great coach, he refuses to do the more important job of recruiting. You can’t have a whole team of 5th year seniors every year. That’s when Barry has been at his best, older players who make better choices because they can’t out talent people.

I do not believe this, I believe if Arkansas becomes consistent, they can’t ignore us. They can just give us the toughest schedule so we don’t get wins.
I also believe if we actually become a consistently good football team, the recruiting instate will become better. Just like when we were good in basketball now we have pretty consistent top tier talent every 3-5 years.
