Following up on our forecast for Easter Sunday, and it still appears fairly cold. After looking over some of the newest data it looks as if colder air will surge south, leading temperatures to fall throughout the day. By Sunday evening northwest Arkansas could already be at or just below freezing.
We do have rain chances Sunday, thus the areas that do dip below freezing could see a winter mixture - most likely sleet! We don't expect anything catastrophic due to this, but it's something to watch closely. Notice the temperature difference from southern to northern Arkansas. This is due to the cold slowly moving from north to south. Regardless, it looks chilly!
Note: This graphic represents expected conditions Sunday evening.
