Was telling a buddy of mine this just yesterday when discussing the Louisville – NC State game.
He won 10 a year here twice during arguably the toughest period in SEC history, yet he can't win 10 games in a fairly weak ACC with an electric Heisman winner.
Also, he lost to Orgeron in a bowl game

Petrino always had a tendency to have his QBs take a butt load of punishment. Given how badly Allen has been beaten I'm not sure Petrino would have coached us to a win last night.
I think he's a better coach then Bert, but yeah, the bloom has gone off of Petrino's career.
