My wife was looking at the 3D seats this morning and realized those are covered so she wants me to consider those instead of regular seats. I know you have tickets up there Hawgeye so I was wanting to see if you or anyone else could answer a couple of questions for me.

Do you prefer the east or south outdoor club seats?

Are they completely covered?

Can you drink on the concourse behind the seats?

Are the club levels easily accessible? Our current seats are right inline with the entry to our section and an entry to the stadium so I'm from my seat to the street in less than a minute. The wife is a fan of this.

If the south, how are the views? Are any parts of the field cutoff from view if you're at the top of the level?

If the east, is it better to sit to the north of the students so you can see or is it fun to sit behind the students because of the energy?

I appreciate any advice you or others can provide.

Old guy observation

a) distance to drinking
b) distance to bathroom

If you plan to keep your seats well into your senior years the closeness to fast moving bathrooms is something you never think to ask when you are younger. As you have a wife, TBS just gets worse with age. I think small children and older women really do have hummingbird sized bladders.

South..... by a mile.

Are they completely covered?

East is covered BUT the overhang is weird. I don't like it at all. The top 3 rows have an obstructed view of the big screen. No idea how the new screen(s) will impact this. You do have screens on the overhang to compensate.

South Outdoor is not covered but some of the sections can be shaded depending on gametime. The best part is that you can chill in the club section until game time if you want.

Can you drink on the concourse behind the seats?

You can only drink in the club area..... but where there is a will there is a way.

Are the club levels easily accessible? Our current seats are right inline with the entry to our section and an entry to the stadium so I'm from my seat to the street in less than a minute. The wife is a fan of this.

No, this is really the only downfall to SOC seats. The elevators are always jam packed and the entries get crowded fast. However, if you are willing to take stairs there are back ways to get up to the club faster. Hopefully the stadium expansion will improve the accessibility to club sections.

Add: You can leave the club sections and walk around the rest of the stadium but you have to keep your ticket on you. They have ushers at the entries checking tickets.

If the south, how are the views? Are any parts of the field cutoff from view if you're at the top of the level?

The views are great. I've found that the only bad views are the ones with a railing in front. There are very few of those.

If the east, is it better to sit to the north of the students so you can see or is it fun to sit behind the students because of the energy?

I sat in the EOC one time. Did not like it. BUT if I had to choose I would pick behind the students (116,117) vs. behind the visitors (111). If you can get in the middle then I would do so.

Also, since you have a wife it's nice to consider that the SOC has multiple, well maintained bathrooms. The wait is non-existent compared to other parts of the stadium.

Hopefully some people will give some better insight to help you with your decision.

I prefer the East Side, they are great for my family of 4.

Are they completely covered?
Yes.. We set through the Ole Miss rain debacle a few years back while everyone else was running. Laughed at the funny scenes..

Can you drink on the concourse behind the seats?

You are only supposed to drink alcohol on the inside club areas. However....
Are the club levels easily accessible?

We never have a problem, show your ticket to the elevator attendant and we are on. Simple really.
Our current seats are right inline with the entry to our section and an entry to the stadium so I'm from my seat to the street in less than a minute.
THIS Will take a bit longer... But not much.

Well, they are endzone, right?

I have no idea

I enjoy our section very much we are about 20 yd line BUt to each their own I suppose.

Next season we are considering going with the new loge seating they will be offering. We are one of the 1st on the list to consider this. WPS

Have they set a price on the loge boxes yet? I initially heard that they were going to be priced similar to the suites.

This is good info. I really appreciate you both responding.

So you can't drink behind the outdoor club seats but you do have access to the indoor club bar area at least to get drinks?

The South Outdoor Club has it's own indoor area with a bar. The whole concession area is pretty nice. Carpet floors with mounted televisions and tables to sit.

What many don't understand about the club section on the sideline is this. You walk through the past players lounge and say hi to a few folks, on the way to your seating. When you want food, or drink you simply get on the elevator and go down one level to the indoor club where you can see the field while enjoying a meal/drink. YOu have access either way. But you are not supposed to bring the alcohol back to the outdoor club seats.

As for the pricing of the loge, I know they are working on that now. I should know a price in the next 2 weeks. I have some choices to make concerning my choices next year. I get a one time bump to the front of my giving level next season, to choose what I wish. Whatever that level is I go first.

We shall see. WPS!

I'm interested for any information you can get. I'm just working my way up the ladder and don't expect to get in those prime seats anytime soon.

I hope they have an open house/tour for season ticket holders.

That's also very good info to know. My wife is nowhere near as big of a football fan as I am so the ability to legally buy her a drink or two during the game and sit in actual seats would probably be a big plus to my long term ticket purchasing options.

So just to show you how little I've ever looked at the south endzone, it just dawned on me that I was looking at the 400 sections and was thinking they were the outdoor club. That's why I thought it was covered.

When is your appointment?

I love the end zone seats. I also love Pig heaven and usually split my time between the two during the season. At the start of the season, I usually sit end zone because I can take my arse in the AC if it's too hot. Plus, I like the food choices and beverage choices. It's a bit of a pain to access but if we are sitting end zone we go into stadium earlier and eat there instead of tailgate. Basically elevator or stairs. Like with any club level, it's not a common area other fans can access unless they have a ticket for the section, so that cuts down on some of the foot traffic some.

The view is good IMO. I enjoy seeing the holes open/close and if you sit high enough, you have a good view of the entire field.

Ill never have a seat in Razorback Stadium that's not a Outdoor club from now on. I let my lower levels go because I just hate being cramped up, plus I'm getting seats in the North EZ next year.

First thing in the morning. I definitely appreciate the advice. Being cramped in the bleachers is my wife's biggest complaint so I think we're going to go with the south outdoor club assuming anything we like is still available. It seems all you guys like them and I trust your opinions. My top two choice disappeared in the past hour though so I'm getting nervous.

Would you recommend sitting in the upper half of the seats instead of the bottom?

High or low shouldn't matter as long as you're in 217-229. I started in 217 and actually liked those seats better than my current ones in 224 because you have a good angle on the field. I would guess 229 is the same.

I like sitting as high as I can just because the view is always better. That's just me.

That's really good to know. I've been leaning towards 228 or 229 because they have a bunch of seats open on the back row still and I was thinking the angled view might be a plus. Going with the back row would mean that I could still stand uninterrupted and my wife would get an actual seat which are pleased for both of us.

Your wife will like the cup holders and seats. You'll enjoy being able to stand and the food choices and TV's inside prior to the game. Sounds like a no brainer to me Chesh.
