It was the transition from "big hair" to the flat butt cut hair.
I will forever have a weakness for a girl with completely straight hair who has to constantly keep brushing it out of her eyes.

I'm definitely not a fan of the dirty, grungy hippy look, either,
me either except when it comes to eddie vedder.

young people looked dirty as frick in the early 1990s. I think you just don't remember it clearly.
Google any nirvana interview. You could fry chicken if you wrung out their hair.

Thank goodness that transition was made. Took for frickin ever to do the big hair with naturally straight hair. Hours of hot rollers, gel, hair spray & teasing. Wouldn't do that shite again, either.

Eddie was definitely hot, and I think guys can just pull off that look better, anyway. There's something just kind of dirty & unappealing about females doing it.

Never liked the long haired grungy look on guys. I always felt (and still do), they would look 10x better with a clean cut look.
I do love a little 5 o clock shadow, however.

I prefer clean cut as well on most guys, however, I'm not against a bit of a 5 o'clock shadow ...
even on a female, provided she shaves her armpits & legs.

i normally didn't like it either but eddie well he was the exception. i preferred his soft flowy curls to the overly coiffed 80's hair band boys.
wmr- i'm sure you're right.
i'm getting old and talking about young people!

I've lost enough hair that I just buzz my head or keep it as short as possible. When I'm going to an event, I buzz my head and my beard. My whole fricking head, face and all, is a 5 o clock shadow. That is just too much sexy, said all the women.
I lied about women saying nice things about me.

Just thought about this, so I'm gonna stop for today & go get a drink.

Y'all have a good evening.

Here's a look I can see making a return if just a couple of certain bands jump in and bring it back in a video or for goofs on stage.
This is what I'm talking about. Retro to be funny.
The last couple winters I've been wearing one my dad's old fleece jackets. I used to think it was the ugliest thing ever. It looked like it came right from the Aspen scenes in Dumb and Dumber, now I love it because it's so ugly.
A couple people have asked what's up the jacket, and I just say "it's coming back, we're bringing it back."
I just don't think there's enough of those Garth Brooks era shirts left around or in thrift shops to make a comeback though.
However, if some up and coming country band wore em in a CMT video and cut the sleeves off and hicked 'em up... could see a resurgence of the brush popper.

Just had to sign back in really quick to say, those shirts rank right up there with high waisted "mom" jeans as a huge fashion faux pas; however, very nice looking dude.

You'd be surprised. Brooks N Dunn wore that shite more so than Garth, one of them is from Eldarado AR.
I actually saw a guy wearing one a couple month ago in the bar, it was black with the red graphic, top of the line with the flap that covered the buttons on the shirt so only one button up by the shoulder showed.
Also had on a pair of wranglers with the skoal ring/tear on the back pocket and snake skin boots while sporting a handle bar mustache.
I'm guessing he got married back in the mid-90s and recently went through a divorce and is just now getting re-released into the wild.

I haven't even seen those when shopping (granted I'm not a college student), but I never see anyone wear those here in dfw. Again though, I don't hang out with college students so that might be why.

Those are awful and I would imagine make ANY type of belly/hip fat appear worse.
I wear these if I wear shorts. LINK
