One more week of fricking 95 degree weather

Gonna be nearly 100 in LA from what I hear.
I'll still take about 5 days total of high 90s that we've had this year and the past couple years over what we used to get when I was a kid, which was triple digits for about a month straight in July and August.
In the summers of the early 00s in South Arkansas, it would routinely hit 105-110, and the Jr High and HS football teams were out there practicing in full pad 2-a-days every single afternoon.
I honestly don't know how some kid didn't die. But hey, they had a water hose on pvc pipe with holes drilled in it and about 20 seconds to get a drink... So it was all good.
And BTW, early forecast for Rice is partly cloudy w/ high around 89 and low of 68. Can't beat that for 1st week of Sept.

I grew up in Magnolia as well. That PVC water hose was scorched earth hot. Just about the time it started to cool, coach Shields would start bitching and bring us back. I often tell people Southwest Arkansas in the summer is hell on earth. At least here in MS there is usually a breeze.
