I feel better about the offense than I have in a while. Despite the lack of hits, there's a lot of really solid contact that's going right at people. That'll start finding holes eventually.

Wonder if they play Stovall tomorrow or keep rolling with Slavens at 1B?
Keep Diggs at DH. If you work Stovall back in, do you put Slavens in RF? And if so, do you play Lanzilli in LF?
I think you sit Stovall and Gregory and let them work out of their slumps against Missouri State on Tuesday.

ANd, yeah, enjoyed the melt over TV being a little off his rocker once more. dude needs help. But hate it that Auburn is catching us if we aren't careful.

But again, I ask what does it matter if we don’t win the West? Winning the west guarantees us a top 2 seed in Hoover?
I hope we go 0-2 in Hoover. I mean, I don’t want to collapse down the stretch. But if we stay in the top 5 or 6 teams in the country but Auburn slides ahead of us by 1 game. Who cares?

It’s all about matchups in the regionals and Supers.
MSU went 0-2 in Hoover last year and ended up with a great regional draw. They drew an middling Notre Dame team in the Supers, and then got to face two teams in the CWS they’d played in the regular season in Texas and Vanderbilt.
Conversely, we drew one of the hottest teams in the country in NC State in the Supers, and the rest is history. I feel bad for that NC State team, because they would’ve made some serious noise in Omaha.

Heck, they did make some serious noise in Omaha. They were 2-0 and in the driver’s seat to make the Finals before the Covid incident.
