Slavens has a lot of empty calories in his stats from midweek games.
He feasts a lot on lower level midweek pitching. Granted, he hit an insurance homer against LSU on Saturday, so hopefully he is coming around and it will start translating to crucial/RISP situations on the weekends.

I'm sure its because of an easier schedule but statistically were better than we were last year. Batting average up 16 points and ERA 0.45 lower.
