Can anyone explain why the host schools can't cover the expenses of parents on official visits?
There's a pretty big percentage of recruits that come from disadvantaged backgrounds or are working class folks where paying for 5 mini vacations in a stretch of maybe 4 months is a tough task. Airfare alone for one parent is gonna rack up $3K.
NCAA needs to get out of it's own way and have some common sense and then have some teeth to it's own rules when they're obviously broken.
I don't think Alex's mom would be having such an issue if she could have come with him on his visit. Regular students have orientations where parents come, and there are parent days and such. Family support is pretty important for college students imo.

Unrelated to the whole AC saga, is there an expectation of some sort of press conference going over all the recruits later today, or an expected time for such? I always enjoyed those.

Like Benton/Bryant area? Lived there for a while too. I actually have a lot of friends in high places in Benton now. Used to play cards with Stevie L and Bigs when they were up here.
