Is anyone else perplexed that an archaic technology such as the "Fax" is still in widespread use for official documentation?

They've been talking about that all morning on ESPNU.
I was thinking at 10:30 this morning, damn recruiting went smooth this year, no surprises, no diamonds dug up, no misses, snagged Kirkland, Niiicccccceeee.
Then, hmmmm, wonder why Alex's LOI isn't in, well maybe he's signing around noon, you know ceremony at his school, he has a bunch of teammates singing with school's too.
Then about an hour ago.... shite hits the fan, what the frick.... really, Mom making you go to Miami? frick. No, what's this she she stole your LOI? frick my life.

MIND BLOWN.
They were probably just going to have a signing ceremony there, then drive it over to a kinko's or something, or a private business.

That is how I've read it as well.
Florida and FSU is full.
USF is probably full by now.
That leaves the directional schools in Florida who will likely be full by this afternoon.
Arkansas will have schollys left...

The article that DCRaiser linked to is quite a bit different than the other article saying his mom stole the papers and left. And if you think about it, if that is what really happened, that would be an easy fix. The article she linked to said that Collins himself said he wanted more time to think about his decision.

I would say I wanted more time if my mom stole my LOI out of embarrassment.
Thing is these articles are out of speculation and 2nd hand information as I doubt Alex is commenting at this time.
