JC Shurbutt, the premier SC Insider, just said he’s 97% sure Beamer has hired Dowell. Pretty wild.

Had been rumors of Hasz telling Adams the Bama commit he was coming to Bama if Loggains left. That would leave us in the awkward position with the other brother but all this was rumored two weeks ago.

Objectively looking at Dowell there is no reason he should be qualified for that job.
He couldn’t keep a job in the NFL, moved every year.
The few times Gase gave him full reign of the offense in New York he blew it.
Shows up at Arkansas, and correct me if I’m wrong, but our TE play hasn’t been that impressive in his time here.
Dowell is a good ol Arkansas boy but I’ve never been impressed with him.
