It's just one of the measures. And free throw shooting is a skill ANYONE can develop so that's not an accurate measure across eras.

Surprise? Word on the street is Daniel Gafford (#16 in the ESPN Top 100) is heavily considering going back to Arkansas next season. Nothing final yet, but seems to be heading in that direction. 2018 is loaded with big men, while 2019 looks very weak right now (at every position).

Arkansas freshman Daniel Gafford is expected to return to school for his sophomore season, per sources. Gafford averaged 11.8 PPG & 6.2 RPG this past season.
