I don't doubt that, I've heard as much myself. It still doesn't mean he's getting hired or even making the short list.

Yall seem to have it in your heads that there's one or two bumbling old BMDs that will call all of the shots without a full cadre of other people involved and hoops to jump through. You think the BOT pushed the removal of Long so we could turn the AD back into the "country store?" Look at the BOT members and tell me which are pushing to get the GOBN band back together.

The GOBN can be in full unadulterated affect and that'll never be the case, we're long past the Broyles/Nutt age and things have changed A LOT along with new BMDs outnumbering any left from that era. The internet/social media era has made the world a billion times smaller. Anybody with any kind of competency knows every move they make will be judged, not to mention the money and potential to be known as "the guy that got coach ______ to come to Arkansas" whether its good or bad. A dumb hire that only a couple rich guys want vs. an entire fanbase just won't happen, period.

Let's try to be better than the T-shirt fans over at tardville and NOT make every little thing into some giant conspiracy.

Yeah, reading that would make you wonder how a booster in LR has so much if any pull.

He's spent a lot of money and had several facilities named after him on the east coast, yet here we are talking about options to keep WMS a viable option each year going forward in the future...
