It sucked... I've been there. The state sucks. The beaches are the drizzling poo compared to the Gulf Coast, LA is gridlock traffic for ever and San Fran smells (quite literally) like crap. If I had big time money... I'd live in NW Arkansas or the Florida panhandle if I loved beaches. DC if I was a bit younger and wanted to go to the Smithsonian 4 times a week.
Actually I'd probably live in the Alabama Gulf Coast for beaches. But there you have it.

California is beautiful. All of my travels my week there was amazing.
Redwood, Yosemite, Sequoia are my favorite national parks in the USA and not particularly close.

You obviously haven't been to Petit Jean State Park or Devil's Den.

Come on down, the water is warm and the beaches aren't covered with garbage.

On the Russillo podcast, Gilbert Arenas talked about Muss. Nothing important, just he was his guy and then the warriors couldn’t pay him so he took a different teams

I understand people who hate LA traffic and think the state is too expensive/taxes are too high... but you're nuts if you don't think California is a beautiful state.
Worst thing about the beaches is that the water is cold. I like that warm Gulf/south Atlantic water

I’m not the most outdoorsy person but when I went to Muir Woods I felt like a child in a fairytale- just stunningly beautiful.
