A) Its more likely that aliens will win the lottery than us beating LSU

False. according to ESPN we have a 1.3% chance

odds that aliens exist in the observable universe. 39% chance on the low end. 85% on the high end.

so given that range lets meet in the middle somewhere as this tends to fluctuate given other variables but this is the most robust calculation today that produces ranges based on ranges accounting for scientific uncertainty.

given that range i'll place chances there aliens at 62% by taking the median/mean.

"the odds of winning the Mega Millions jackpot are 1 in 302.6 million and the odds of winning the Powerball jackpot are 1 in 292.2 million."
based on multiple sources on google including CNN, Forbes and other media sites. so lets give you the benefit of doubt here. w'ere gonna play power ball. 3.42231348E-9% roughly

So if we just do the rough math here and multiple the percentages you get the chance that there is both intellegent life and that it wins the lottery. at:
2.12183436E-9%

now I get there are some bad assumptions here such as chance the aliens come to earth not being included and the fact lottery odds probably aren't counting the expanded player pool either. but I couldn't find a quick answer there so I'm leaving them. doesn't really matter anyways as that lottery number is pretty much always going to be lower than the chance of arkansas upsetting LSU no matter what.

pish posh. i'm not saying you don't search but how much more damage are you going to do by taking away a guy the kids want to play for.

What would it take for him to get a legitimate look at the job? Btw, I'm not saying its my first choice or even remotely possible, but it wouldn't be unprecedented (Dabo, Orgeron were both interims that worked out well).

Does he need to outright beat LSU? keep it within a TD? Beat Missouri? What would it take for him to be in the conversation?

Joe Craddock and Chavis will be calling the shots on offense and defense this Saturday. And more than likely, they will be doing the same the week after.

I swear with the exception of LSU we have the most retarded fanbase in the country.

Good lord this is ironic.

Wrong.

It takes a special kind of idiot to not realize that Lunney would be a cheap, easily replacable coach who can get fired immediately if he has a disapointing year. The only way he could get the job is IF he goes out there and gets the two biggest wins we've had in 4 fricking years. I admit this is all based on an extremely unlikelably hypothetical, but Jesus Christ you did not think through that response. You think that if we hired Lunney it wouldn't be the cheapest POS HC contract ever and the buyout would be incredibly low? You actually think we would give him a contract that would have implications for our future outside of one recruting class? gotta give it to ya I haven't seen irony play out that well in a while.

Yeah, I think this thread illustrates why we can't have nice things.

I threw out a wild and unlikely hypothetical and what we find out is that a coach that could take a 2 win team to beat the #1 team in the nation in baton rouge still wouldn't be good enough for most of you.

You have completely failed to account for the aliens possible advanced mathematical or psionic abilities....
