Same here. I work for a Fortune 500 tech company and don't know the first thing about using Twitter, nor do I care.
I just couldn't care less about a complete stranger/notable personality sending out a mass message to my phone.
I can see the practical uses for it, but to 'follow' people, or have 'followers' when you're life isn't even that important, seems like a HUGE timewaster.
EDIT: I choose to waste time here and that's enough

I watched about 5 mins of the mafia show. It was basically on as background noise. Is that show for real, or bullshite?

I mainly follow local sports guys and national college sports guys like Dan Wolken, Pat Forde, Stewart Mandel, Joe Schad, ESPN SEC, etc.
Its really easy to tailor to what you like however.
