I've lived outside a few major cities, DC included, and Memphis is, hands down, the worst managed city I've ever lived close to. Maybe New Orleans can top it but Memphis is... Memphis.

Though I admit... I'd move back there to tune in and hear Lance Russell greet everyone with another "Yelllooo everybody and welcome to another big day of championship wrestling." I miss Memphis wrestling a lot more than I miss that city.

Amen.

I grew up in East Arkansas and Memphis was our “big city.” I never realized how big of a shitshow it was until I moved up to NWA for college.

You get used to nothing working. Folks will laugh but you do if Memphis is your hub city. When it came out that there were major cracks in one of the bridges over the river I didn't bat an eye. I would have been astounded to hear that it was one of the better maintained bridges in America.

And I won't even get into the whole you are driving down a street with million dollar homes and exactly one street over you've got an urban war zone where even the cockroaches are packing heat.

It is hard to describe to folks who didn't spend a good chunk of their lives near there... but you can love Memphis and think it is the drizzling shits at the same time.

Tell me you’ve been on North Parkway without telling me you’ve been on North Parkway.

Same. Born & raised in NEA. Memphis is pretty bottom tier. My parents just drive to Jonesboro now if they need to go to a big store. They don’t even trust Memphis after living in the area for 30 years.

Your coach dips and lies about it.

Hopefully you don’t waste your EBT on that in your twilight years.

Yuck!

So we've got the bowl game at 4:30. Assuming no OT, it should be over just in time to switch over to the LSU game at 8:00.

We're looking at ~6 straight hours of Razorback athletics. Hope everyone is stocked up on alcoholic beverages

So they’re shipping in 400 ports-johns because the toilets in the stadium won’t flush.

This bowl is literally a shitshow.
