Our women's soccer team has been getting better bit by bit, year by year. In the past we've been a shaky regular season team but lethal in the SEC tournament. I think we made three straight SEC tournament finals.

Hmm, think a topic headline of "Our ladies know how to kick balls" would get me banned?

They were pretty much dominant all year long. Go give the hogpod with Coach Hale a listen. He explicity states that when he was hired that he told his coaches that we weren't going to blame losses on the current talent. There was no such thing as "wait till I get my players" - the players on the team he inherited were his players and he was going to win with them.

We should be a lock to host again can't wait to pack Razorback field.

We have had a lot of luck with hires for our secondary (and tertiary) sports of late. I really like what Hale has done here at Arkansas with the team.

Outside of Dykes - Long did a pretty good job hiring women's coaches.

Hale
Deifel
Neighbors

I believe Shauna Taylor (women's golf) and Coach Harter (women's track) were Broyles hires.

Shauna Taylor has been here since the dawn of time. She really is a lifer for the program. And, while she hasn't nailed down a national title yet she has turned out a ton of great golfers.

I think, with Dykes, we all bought in on the secondary things... he can do this and he can do that... and we neglected the what has he actually done as a coach?

They go back to back regular season SEC Champs!!!

Finish with 7-1 record and #1 seed for SEC tournament.

Beat MSU 2-1 tonight while Tennessee beat South Car 1-0.

Our only loss came to South Car in Fayetteville a few weeks ago.

3 SEC Championships determined this semester.

All 3 go to the Razorbacks.

Will be interested to see how the NCAA handles the postseason --- which is scheduled to be conducted in Spring of 2021.

The key to success for Arkansas sports? Get coaches who want to stay here until they retire. Hale has been here 9 years, some of them tough years, and has built the program up to the point that we are 15-2-1 in our last 18 SEC games. In Soccer! That sort of record is unreal.

Harter has been here 31 seasons with the women's track team. Shauna Taylor, coach of the 2nd ranked women's golf team, has been here 17 years, 13 as head coach. She has never held a coaching job that wasn't at the University of Arkansas.

I dare say if we want prolonged success in football we need someone like Pittman who wants to retire here. Arkansas is not a quick fix state for athletics, unless its basketball perhaps. Give us people that love the state, love being here, and want to spend the rest of their lives here and we can build something that lasts.
