No one had more money for NIL prior to NIL, because that would have been illegal and I’m sure the ncaa would have went after each school equally. We did have more money for coaches, because we were told Pittman is a people pleaser so he used all the money we would have had to pay Lane for his assistants. The problem is one good season he wanted the money we could have just paid Lane.

Maybe for all the coaches added up.
But I think Lane personally made $2M more. He took a bunch of the money Pittman gave to assistants in his first contract. And Hunter liked that Sam was a good guy looking for his people.
Because Sam needed his hands held and got 2 good coordinators, when Lane didn’t need one for offense. And got a family member for defense I believe.
