The NBA really loves those 6'3" shooting guards that shoot 14.3% from 3FG.

Jalen Harris and his 12.1% must be declaring after the NIT.

Bigger lololol is Mike picked him over Ke’Vaughn Allen and Whitt left after 9 months in a two man recruiting class with Lorenzo Jenkins.

Mmm... stay at SMU and finish up your degree would be my advice, unless he's done so already. He hasn't hired an agent so he's eligible to come back if he doesn't get any nibbles.

From what I can tell he was great in high school, but didn't really set the world on fire at either SMU or Arkansas. He has a chance to play over seas, its not great money but its steady work. I'd say finish your degree and then do the touring basketball mercenary for a few years before settling into a career in the states.

Whitt was easier to sign so that’s why that happened. Minimum effort

Those overseas contracts pay about $45k a year on average, which is pretty good money for playing basketball. Some places like Spain pay better. Courtney Fortson is a superstar in China now, he was the MVP in the top Chinese league last year.

I think it's cool when guys go overseas and we get to see how fans in other countries receive them. I've always loved this video of Sonny Weems playing in Lithuania when he gets a game winning dunk. Sound ON:

Oh yeah. 45k right out of college to see the world and play basketball is a nice gig.

I'd still advise getting your degree first (especially if the school is paying for it) but I can understand going overseas and making middle class money instead. If you are good you could have a nice long career over there.
