So fire em both, who do you trust to make the next coaching hire, Steinmetz or Bobbitt. Asking for a friend
Then SMile... now Bert, Bucknam should have never happened...
Was Pel hired by Long> don't remember...
15 million buyout was ridiculous, perhaps 10 million, or 7 million... But 15 following a 7 win seasons????
So, tell your friend.. I will gladly make the next hire...

That's a negative. That would be JFB
I agree the buyout is beyond ridiculous but hell, it'll be more manageable Jan 2019

Petrino's buyout was even larger than Fat Bastard's, but it wasn't near as bad because:
A. Both sides were responsible for paying it in the event of a premature termination of the employment.
B. At least Petrino got it after making our first BCS appearance unlike the "firsts" tubby has produced.

It's crazy the damage that the Petrino ending and the Bert era has done to good hog fans. Turned a crazy, passionate fan base in to an apathetic, demoralized collection of burnouts.
Completely agree.
We've seen so much drama around our football program in the past decade that we're essentially burned out because of it.
Think about this -- in the last 10 years, our fan base has had to endure Nutt's shite show of a final season, Petrino's firing, the John Elle year, 0-8 and 17 straight, Toledo, 56-3, and Bert's flame out and buyout-gate. That's a profound amount of drama and shifty football we've had to live through.

Wasn't Dana Altman technically Frank's last hire? They hired a search company to find Pelphrey. Not sure Broyles had a say in that one.

And that's just football
