What is the deal with Norvell? It's not just us either. It seems like he should be a hot commodity but nobody (besides Memphis) will give him a shot.

Must be some sort of inexcusable behavior like blatant sexual harassment in his past.

I think he was only wanting/considering the Arkansas job this go around while he had the opportunity. I expect him to get the experience at Memphis the next year or two and get a big job then.

I understand that but you haven't heard anyone else even bring him up in their coaching search.

Long is gone. We aren't skipping over him for small transgressions or for not valuing education. Why is the GOBN against hiring Norvell?

Well I probably won't be lusting after our coach which is probably a good thing.

Norvell looks about as excited as a guy realizing something in his past just cost him his dream job.

Norvell would have created instant excitement.

Good luck, PTB filling those empty seats next year. Unless its Kiffin, the stadium is going to look mighty empty next season.

Who knows, heck, maybe throwing stupid money at Gus drew the attention of somebody bigger. We better hire some knock it out of the park DC if we are hiring Morris, that's all I can say.

Posted on the A&M board, they have been over Morris for at least two years now. That was suppose to be their target after Jimbo. They have mostly said the same thing. Going to have a great offense/great recruiter but need a solid DC.

Now all that’s left is for Norvell to take an SEC West job and beat our asses for the next 10 years because we passed him over.
