Does it seem like Starkel is making zero reads and deciding presnap who he’s throwing to no matter what? Folks have been wide open and yet he’s firing off passes to folks draped in coverage.

The Briles/Texas HS offenses do not rely on the QB to read the defense.
The field is split into 1/2s, with the play call determining which 1/2 has the ball thrown.
One of the many reasons why the majority of Texas QBs fail in non-texas HS offenses on the college level and in the nfl, they are never taught to read the defense, its a worst system than the June Jones big college numbers, huge NFL failures model.
