this the part of the thread we start bowing down to everything Texas football?

Tired of the fans doing that all the time

No offense but playing QB at Highland Park HS is a tad more prestigious than Fayetteville High, especially when it comes to recruiting. But Tex@$$ suckz!!!

Let's say I'm hiring the next CEO of JB Hunt Here are your strategies: 1-ignore all numbers, hope and pray. Give him forever and wonder why it doesn't work out 2-hire the guy who grew revenues 5% in 2017, 6% in 2018, and 7% in 2019. Ignore that it was at an oil company half a world away 3-dive a little deeper, since we're paying him millions and this should be professional process

JB Hunt is the Alabama of the trucking industry, we’re fricking Pete’s Trucking or some shite, we don’t hire the grand slams, we hope for a ground rule double, which is essentially a crapshoot. Petrino was a unicorn, perfect timing, probably won’t happen again.

Again, pressers don’t mean shite. Bert was great with the media. They loved him. Hell I met him once and he was awesome. How did that work out?

It worked out much better than what we have now, Latarian. Again, I was asked about red flags. Lack of charisma and leadership is a big red flag!

He's getting paid millions. Some personal sacrifices come with the job

Because his son moving to fayetteville would’ve helped us beat Kentucky or A&M? You guys aren’t this stupid. Criticizing his coaching is fine but his fatherly choices? Gtfo with that bullshite

You're clearly still pretty emotional after the L. Maybe you should call it a night? No need to start name calling and deflecting.

Not attacking Chad's precious boy...just could do with less of the Texas football worship. Especially when you consider the Allen bros of Fay HS have been worlds better than any recent Texass "stud" that's been hyped as shite around here.

Fayetteville produces the Allen Brothers, Highland Park produces Matt Stafford. I mean if you don’t want a guy that Lincoln Reilly and Dabo offered then you must know a lot about football.

Charisma like a youth pastor. It's cringey in a snake oil salesman way. Kinda like he's a con artist who said he would "hammer down" in the "left lane" while taking millions of AR dollars to not win a single conference game. But yeah, tons of personality...

Again, so did Bert. I’m not condoning it I’m just saying he had charisma and style, not any substance

The cheesy slogans would have been gold, if he backed them up with wins. The internet or social media has been great, until the losses began.

It is easy in hindsight to see the negatives.

I will give you this, not knowing your daily dealings with CCM caused some of us to doubt your validity. That and I guess you had daily dealings with CMA as well? If so, how did you not see his failings with the same old clichés, etal?

14-22 at SMU didn’t give you pause?

Of course but we were encouraged by him improving his record every year. It was only after he came here and we spent some time with him that we realized he’s not an SEC caliber head coach. I’m sure he would be doing fine if he was still at SMU.

Muss has a lot of the same characteristics, which makes me a little nervous but people seem to be buying in so we’ll see

If you dont think Chad and Chandler are a package deal then I think you're being naive. And I'm not sure what Staffords success has to do with Chandler just because they went to the same high school. You clearly buy into "Texas FB is better" theory. Good for you. I don't. When it comes to recruits and coaches from Texas, they havent proven to be the Gods theyre built up to be.
