Quitting the team all but verifies what those people were already saying, IMO.

Nah, not for skipping the NIT. I can promise you that he won't take a hit in the draft for skipping it. He has dropped it by himself though, throughout the season. Teams don't care about that in the same way they don't care about certain players staying out of meaningless bowl games. That is fine if you don't like it, I don't really disagree but it doesn't change draft stock.

Also, how many games did you ever see Jordan sit out because he was hurt?

frickin never. I think he only ever missed two games because of an injury.

Players aren't as tough as they used to be. Not in any sport. America has gotten soft and lazy.

He missed almost a full season one year

Maybe I'm thinking that he only ever had 2 injuries that kept him from playing.

No doubt about it. The guy got more and more dominant as he went on.

Even after retirement he came back and had this whole new bag of tricks that the kids these days call "old man post moves", and he could still drop 60 points on your arse.

I don't know if there will ever be a player as dominant as that dude was.

FTFY

For real though, he was tough and played through a lot but even he was human.

There's also this one.

The answer is Dennis Rodman. There's only one player that was tough enough to wear a wedding dress on the court, kick the shite out of Karl Malone on the court literally, and can be trusted to conduct sensitive diplomatic shite with an authoritarian world leader to end a 70 year old war.

Dennis Rodman is a true American hero.

I'm glad you posted that. Lebron has been someone who also played through alot of injury and doesn't get seriously hurt too often. He had that cramp game that he takes alot of heat for but besides that and and the injury this year, very durable.

He was blessed with the genetics of a Greek hero.

He's like 6'9" tall and weighs like 260. He is on another level athletically than like 99% of humanity.

For sure but lets not act like he hasn't done a great job with his body throughout the years. Plenty of big guys get hurt all the time. We see many that are blessed with crazy genetics like that and throw it all away because they don't work hard or take care of their body.

No worries. It's just the internet.

Never doubted he had the tools to be a great player, just knew there was something I didn't like in his attitude and how he carried himself. It really and truly didn't surprise me at all when the scouts started hammering him for his lack of work ethic.

Another good one is Dirk. You couldn't pay him to miss the court before his body gave out.

It is fairly depressing to watch him now, it doesn't seem like his mind is ready but his body isn't going give him a choice.
